This week in Algebra I've learnt about simplifying, adding and dividing using algebraic expressions.

This week we have been working through Algebraic Expressions and today first period we did work in groups and now were finishing off our work on the math website.

Algebraic Expressions

This week we have been learning about Algebraic Expressions. Eg, c + 7 means 7 more than c 

or 4 - l means 4 less than 1.

This week in maths we have been doing Integers, i've been enjoying learning about this topic. And we did cartons and what makes a good mathematician  a good mathematician in groups. At first I didn't think it was very fun and at the end I liked it a bit more. The norms were Everyone Participates, Listen to others' ideas, and Be Patient.

This week in maths we've been doing Perimeter work.

This week i've been doing a lot of work in angles and learning all of the different types of them.

During this week we have been learning geometry
eg. fractions, angles ect
We have done a few more activities, being put into random
groups from picking out sticks.

In maths this week we have been getting put into groups using sticks with our names on it and then doing our work in those groups.

Today second period I worked with William, Liam, Alice and Daniel and we did work in Mathematics & Statistics and then some work in our booklets and in fourth period me and Ella worked on making an Experimental Probability.

Video Making - 13.06.19

During the last two weeks me, Stella, Annalise, Maggie, Ella and Alice have been starting to do some filming with Mr Aitkens cameras. We've been going into his classroom to borrow a camera during our int class times, and then going to the gym to ask which ever p.e teacher is there if we can borrow the key for G3 so we can film our 'peer pressure' video, we had to re-take it a few times but got there in the end. Our camera died one time and it was the last one so we improvised with Alice's phone because she had a pause and go option while filming on her camera so we could try and get it all in one go, except we had some technical difficulties with transferring the footage from her phone to a Chromebook. So we decided to re-take it on another one of Mr Aitkens cameras. We then finally finished filming on Wednesday afternoon 5th period. And now we just need to connect to the projector screen and show the class.

This week we've started to learn about improper fractions and mixed numbers.

Recently in maths we have been learning about Fractions and we've started to use a new class sight on Google Classroom to see all of our work set from Mrs Devane for maths.
